Length: Approximately 10-12 days 
Description: This short-term trip to multiple areas in the Dominican Republic focuses on learning more about sport organizations, venues, and sport administration in the country. In addition to learning about sport, this experience allows for faculty and students to have a service learning opportunity and volunteer helping others in the country.

Trip Highlights:

  • Service learning at local foundation

  • Visit Major League Baseball (MLB) Headquarters in Dominican Republic

  • Tour and interact with players at an Major League Baseball (MLB) team academy

  • Attend Major League Baseball (MLB) Dominican academy game 

  • Cultural sightseeing of Dominican Republic 

  • Waterfall tour, hike, and jump

  • Tour and meetings with Dominican national sport teams and administrators

  • Beach and ocean activities
